My plan for today was to head online to a few new spots I love and get some project ideas. I love crafting lately and it's a great way to pass the time between commercials for the superbowl. After I'm done distracting myself with this blog, I have a few new projects to start!
Here are some of the sweet blogs I've been following and some of the sweet ideas they have given me!...

I haven't ACTUALLY done any projects off of this one but have been quite inspired! The one I'm planning on doing is a wooden sign she has highlighted right now. Hers says some kind of "p.s." message of some kind but that just makes me think of the cheesy movie (even though I kind of like it)...I think I like the original she was inspired by MORE and will use that quote..."You have my whole heart for my whole life." Cute somewhere in mine and Jake's apartment, no? :)

She does a lot of jewelery stuff and although I've been tempted to try some of it, I feel like I can't pull some of the stuff off ;) I'm generally a t-shirt girl but I told Jake one of my new years resolutions is to "look better" and actually try to wear jewelery and coordinate outfits!

I LOVE THIS BLOG. So many cute ideas. And she is so cute, too. Just looking at her picture on the left makes me want to pray for summer and buy a dress.
Here's a cute project I took on from this site:

How adorable is that?? It says "Spread the Love. Homemade Butter." Although some of mine and Jake's friends are likely going to see this blog before we give them this gift, I have to share the reason why I HAD to make this. We were over at our friend's Aaron and Sophia's for dinner and they bring out their butter jar. Yes. A butter jar. I had never seen this done before and I must admit, we teased them a bit. But then I saw this blog and HAD to make it for them. Super cute!
And finally, my other current favorite...

This is where I got the idea for this beauty:

How cute are these? Best part? It basically was free to make. I already had 2 canvases since I like painting (but never find the time) and Jake has lots of old vintagy books and he let me rip out some pages! Then all I had to do was grab some glue and sharpies and off I went!
Here are a couple more projects that I can't even remember where the inspiration came from:

and

The serving tray was picked up at Ikea for $10 but I bet you could find one even cheaper. I picked out a fun fabric piece at JoAnns and TAPED it to piece of foam board! That way I can wash it if it gets dirty or switch it out if I get sick of the color. AND the owl pillow is for a sweet little baby that just arrived and I can't wait to meet! I'm definitely an amateur sewer but look forward to learning!
Well...that's all the projects I've had time for lately! I am excited to learn even more ways to spruce up our place with not much money.
Hope your day is lovely!
